My BF's sister has one of those... I won't be able to ask her for awhile,

she's on vacation. My humble opinion is that if you can't find what's wrong....

you might have to cough up the $$ and get another one..... they break all

the time. Specially if you use them constantly.

I'm assuming I'm not the only one who eats a lot of rice, and I'm really

hoping someone on here has a rice cooker like this one:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BFTASW/sr=1-10/qid=1152125775/ref=sr_1_10/1\

That's the one I have, and I love it. I've had it for 6 1/2 years w/ no

problems - but the past 2 weeks it's suddenly gone wacko. At the top there

is a little " thing " where the steam comes out when you cook, but lately WAY

too much steam has come out, and water has been spilling out also. By the

time the rice is done, my counter is covered in sticky, starchy water (yes I

rinse my rice thoroughly). I always empty that little thing by the handle

that collects the excess water, so it's not like that's clogged or

anything. Of course, I have no idea where my manual is! Anyone have this

problem??? HELP!!!!!!!!

Is the seal in the cooker broken or worn out? That is what happened to my first

rice cooker. The seal in mine is almost clear and I didn't even realize it had

one till it came out when I was wiping it out. Jeanne in Georgia

Well, I think the problem really is that it's getting too hot and

boiling over. I'm going to buy a cheapo one at Walmart until I can

save up enough for another Tiger. I've used it for 6 1/2 years, 8 or

so times a week, plus I leave it plugged in a lot (the rice stays good

in there for about 20 hours or so) - so it's definately gone through A

LOT of use and served me well :)

It's my favorite appliance, how tragic (lol)

Thanks,

Stacee
