Cheryl, french fries & Whitney bring her own food

Cheryl, Yes, they usually taste like everything but a potato. I sure do enjoy

making my own oven fries.

 

 

Whitney, I do the same thing. When I went to Yucatan I took lots of food in

my suitcase, bread, crackers, peanut butter, etc.

I bring my own food to potlucks at work like the one we are having tomorrow, I

pick through the other dishes for tastes of olives and love it when they bring

chips and jars of salas or hummus (yes, I have this place hooked on hummus). If

I'm invited to dinner I bring a dish whether they want me to or not. If they

love me they accept me and I change for NO ONE! Funny thing is, I always have a

following of people telling me they wish they could be like me, or get away with

that or eat like I do or learn to cook or I wish I could learn to speak up,

etc. Well, I always tell them, be your own self, why do you have to " wish " ?

You can believe in yourself and make any change you like that is going to make

you feel better.

Live and let live. I certainly respect others and if they have a dietary

situation you better believe I will cook something they can eat and I would

never play a trick on anyone like those people did Jeanne.

Does your Mom think your husband lives on a lettuce leaf? For some reason

many non-vegetarians are not used to anything much past the burger and fries

theory and grains, beans, legumes, almost all veggies except for lettuce and

tomatoes are just foreign to them.

I have helped so many people over the years when they start on the veggie

path, they will come to me and ask for help and the first thing they say is, I

made this decision now so what will I eat besides a salad everyday for lunch and

dinner. It's funny, when you go through our recipe files there is everything

but a small dinner salad posted.....LOL
