Guest guest
I know them as urad beans, I've eaten them but not cooked with them, I'm not a huge fan of Indian food, I love Persian and Eqyptian food though. Let's call in some members and see if we can get you some help. I bought yellow chana dal thinking it was yellow split peas, the soup was extra think, color was off a little when done but the taste was wonderful. Very nice having you with us and knowing you feel comfortable, I look forward to your future posts. I am an aspiring vegetarian, and am pretty close to being there 100% I love all the recipes and talk here, it's great! Now, I have a question. I was given a bag of Urid beans (black with a small white dot), about 1-2 lbs. I haven't got a clue as to how to cook them. Everytime I google them, they mention Dal, but I have yet to find out how to make it. If anyone has some suggestions, I'd be forever greatfull Thank you muchly in advance BB, Tara -- " My Heart Is Like An Open Highway " " And dreaming doesn't do no good Cause I don't wanna lie That I'm okay and I'm alright I'd rather take it and forget it " My Site: http://www.creationsbytara.com My Home: http://www.kamloopscanada.net Do You Dream?
