Guest guest Posted June 21, 2006 Report Share Posted June 21, 2006 Baked Spiced Fruit This is so nice, serve over frozen vanilla yogurt. 1 17 oz. can apricot halves 1 16 oz. can peach halves 1 16 oz. can pear halves 1 15 1/4 oz. can pineapple chunks 1 c. orange juice 1/3 c. brown sugar, packed 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1 (3 inch) stick cinnamon 4 whole cloves 1/8 tsp. mace dash of salt Drain fruits, reserving syrup. Cut apricot, peach, and pear halves into halves. Combine fruit in 8 x 12 inch baking dish. Combine orange juice and remaining ingredients in saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 2 minutes. Pour over fruit. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes; cool. Cover and chill 8 hours. Remove cinnamon stick and cloves before serving. Serve hot or cold. Serves 10 to 12.
