Are the chow mein noodles indgredient in your recipe below, those crunchy ones

that you sprinkle on top of chinese food?

Chinese Noodle and Mushroom Soup

 

 

Chinese Noodle and Mushroom Soup

 

1 tablespoon vegetable oil 2 cups sliced mushrooms 1 teaspoon minced garlic

4 cups vegetable stock 2 cups fresh chow mein noodles 2 tablespoons Sherry or

rice wine 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 teaspoon sesame oil 1 dash hot pepper sauce

1/2 cup chopped scallions

 

In large saucepan, heat oil over medium heat; cook mushrooms and garlic for 2

minutes. Add stock and 2 cups water; bring to boil. Add noodles, sherry, lemon

juice or rice vinegar, sesame oil and hot pepper sauce; reduce heat, cover and

simmer for 3 minutes. Stir in scallions. serves 4.
