Guest guest
Here's what I made for us tonight....change ingredients as you want! 1 large Vidallia onion, cut in half then sliced 1 red sweet pepper, cut into matchsticks 1 large carrot, cut diagonally 1 stalk celery, also cut diagonally 2 cups broccoli floretts 1 small can Mandarin oranges 1 clove garlic minced 1 teaspoons corn starch (more or less, depends on how thick you like it) 1/2 cup teriyaki sauce 1/3 cup orange juice 1 Tablespoon corn oil (Probably less than that as all I do is wipe the wok with oil) 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil Heat both oils together in wok till hot, toss in garlic and lightly saute. Mix teriyaki sauce and orange juice together in a cup or small bowl, add corn starch and set aside till the veggies are done. Add rest of veggies and stir fry over high heat until almost done. Add teriyaki sauce/oj/corn starch and thicken over heat (hardly any time at all.) Add mandarin oranges. Serve over brown rice, if wanted. If you like the heat, add a few drops chili oil. To give a Thai flavor, omit orange juice and oranges and add a little peanut butter, a bit more teriyaki sauce and a few drops of lime or lemon juice. It takes me maybe 10 minutes to cut the veggies up and 5 to 10 minutes cooking time. (Doesn't take much.) One of our favorites and it can be changed around so many different ways to change the flavor. Enjoy! Jeanne _______________ On the road to retirement?
