Guest guest
I have 2 and I used to have 3 but sent one to my nephew. I love them. I make grilled soy cheese sandwiches, I marinate tofu steaks and grill, I slice potatoes lengthwise and baste them with olive oil, crushed garlic, salt and grill, hey the smoked paprika would be good on those. I take summer squash and slice and grill, I marinate a porti mushroom and grill it. It's not something I bought and used once. It's a favorite kitchen appliance. Congrats! On your raise. If you have one, what do you use it for? Do you have any favourite recipes? Did you buy one and then never use it again? (Do we detect a touch of buyer's remorse slipping in there, LOL.) I bought the baby one and now I have it out of the box I'm thinking I could only do fairly small kebabs on it, or perhaps it's not even suitable for that, and perhaps I should have bought a larger one, or perhaps I should just have bought a griddle pan to use on the stove top. Can you tell I'm feeling totally indecisive today? I checked out the barbecue/grill section of the cookbook shelves in the bookstore today but all the books were written for meat and fish eaters with very few vegetarian recipes. Guest guest
I bought the large one, only the Hamilton Beach one because it had various temperature settings. I have to unplug it instead of turning it off, but I love the temperature choice. Then I was at a yard sale here. People spend their welfare money the beginning of the month on purchases and sell them the end of the month for next to nothing, so I got another large one for $3.00. Now, I have two of them!!! I agree, Donna, nothing like a marinated Portabella mushroom on the grill for a quick sandwich!! Guest guest
HI Christy: I got one a couple of years ago from a secret santa, I have used it a couple of times. I have made quesadilla's in them and they are great for panini type sandwhiches. gayle christie_0131 <christie0131 Fri, 16 Jun 2006 12:39:10 -0000 Favourite recipes for the George Foreman grill I had a spot of good fortune yesterday in the form of a pay rise (I have CFS and am only working a few hours a week at the moment so every lirttle helps) and to celebrate I bought myself a George Foreman Grill which was on special offer at the supermarket.
