Guest guest Posted June 15, 2006 Report Share Posted June 15, 2006 Parmesan Herb Bread 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 cup grated parmesan cheese 2 tablespoons sugar 2 packages rapid rise yeast 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning 1 teaspoon salt 1 1/4 cups water 1 egg 1 egg white, lightly beaten In a large bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups flour, cheese, sugar, undissolved yeast, herbs and salt. Heat water to very warm but not boiling and stir into dry ingredients. Stir in whole egg and enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead on lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 4 minutes. Cover and let rest about 10 minutes. Roll dough into a 7x13 inch rectangle. Roll up tightly from small end and pinch seam and ends to seal. Spray a loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray and place dough in pan. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 20 to 40 minutes. Brush loaf with egg white, and bake at 375 degrees for about 25 to 30 minutes. Remove from pan and cool on a rack.
