Guest guest
came up with this one year when had too many cans of cranberry sauce. Cranberry no-meringue pie 2 16 oz cans jellyed cranberry sauce 1/4 c cornstarch pie crust heat cranberry sauce 'till liquid, add cornstarch and boil 1 minute pour into pie crust and bake at 350º F 15 - 20 min. Let cool and enjoy!! this makes a tart pie, even with the high fructose corn syrup, etc. in it it could have used some sweetening. like it tart myself but making it for others would probably add a bit of sugar - 1/8 or maybe 1/4 c. peace, Angela great grandma recycled, she called it making do. who I am is fine, it's just this body that's disabled! middle age = that time of life when we realize yesterday's sex, drugs and rock and roll are todays memories, prescriptions and golden oldies! Guest guest
I have done a similar pie to solve the same problem, however I mix with either whipped cream sweatened with sugar and vanilla, or vanilla ice cream, both of which solve the tartness issues.
