Using those diapers is going to save

you a lot of money and that is very Earth Friendy.

That is why I keep them. I also knit my own dishrags, and we only use cloth

napkins. Have been ever since I moved out of my parent's house. If I have

time I make them with my serger, but my sister gave me a bunch of hers when

she got a new table (what that had to do with needing new napkins I don't know)

and my uncle gave me all of his after my aunt died. So it will be a while

before I need to make any. We don't use placemats or tablecloths at the dinner

table, but I kept all my sister's old tablecloths and the kids use them for

picnics & teaparties. AmyF

Amy,

I crochet my own dish 'rags' as we call them. And I make them for

friends who prefer them to store bought. They are great for scrubbing

and they dry so much faster and never have a sour odor. I use cotton

yarn to make wash cloths. They are not only beautiful but work great

for defoiliating(is that the right word/sp?) LOL)The crochet wash

cloths are a great gift to put in a basket with body wash or special

soap.I also use cloth napkins. I buy mine at the thrift store

sometimes for pennies. I also buy my bath towels at ARC, usually for

less than $3 a piece. Many are brand new store donated with very odd

designs and colors but you can't beat the price. I needed a shop

apron this week for a pottery class and I found a brand new one at

the ARC for $1.17.

I love a bargain and love doing a small but good thing for our Earth.

Today I am making my recipe for wheat germ and oatmeal

burgers/patties. My niece taste tested them yesterday and she loved

them. I like them better than any I have ever made.

Make a good day

Smiles and hugs coming your way

Deanna
