I would be very interested in information on foods and

food combining. Thank you. I am interested in

Ayurveda but have trouble understanding the little

that I have been able to find on it.

When Fit For Life was published a really long time ago, I followed the diet, and

it worked great. Basically you only eat fruit on an empty stomach, and eat

vegetables with dairy, or vegetables with grains/starch, or vegetables with

flesh, but not all together. Really it's just a sensible diet rich in fruits,

vegetables and grains, but with a gimmick. HOWEVER, one of the things they said

in the book was how fast food takes to move from the stomach, thus not

putrifying. According to them fruit leaves the stomach within an hour. Well, I

went on an airplane ride 3 hours after consuming only fruit, got air sick, and

threw up my strawberries and kiwis, so that argument holds no water in my book.

Diana,

It is not that easy. To get an M.D. degree in Ayurveda usually takes

5 1/2 years and 2-3 years to get an advanceddegree. I will write

about some basic guidelines later.
