Guest guest
Ok, remember, this an acquired taste, at least it was for me. I hated this stuff until I was in my late 20s. This was my grandma's recipe Hot Slaw 2 Tbsp butter 4Tbsp flour 3 Tbsp sugar 1 1/2 tsp salt 1 1/4 tsp dry mustard 1 C milk 1/2 C vinegar 3C coarsely grated cabbage 2 eggs Mix all dry ingredients into melted butter. Add milk and cook until thick, stirring constantly. Beat egg, adding some of cooked mixture and mix well. Add egg mixture to milk mixture and cook slowly until thick. Add cabbage and vinegar. Heat, but be sure not to boil.
