This is for Sharon in regards to her questions...

So sorry I didn't get to this until now. I do digest versions

so I am not always Johnny on the spot here. I do hope your

stew came out good. [maybe I will read about it in the next

digest] :)

Question #1: *First- I think this is for a much larger crockpot

than I have! lol It is for about a 5qt wouldn't you say?

~ Probably. I just have an old Rival brand crock-pot my Grams

gave me as a hand-me-down. I think it is about a 5 quart cooker.

With crockin' I always put in the " required " [my requirements

here*lol*] ingredients~ like the seasonings, sauces, onions, garlic,

potatoes, and in this case meatballs, before I add stuff like the

carrots and other " filler " veggies. Maybe next time you could

prioritize your ingredients a bit so you get the stuff all in there.

You could also keep the meatballs out and add them in later on

if you want right before serving.

Question #2: *For the liquids- can you please tell us what size

can the tomato puree is meant to be?

~ Sorry about that. I use a 14.5 oz. can.

Question #3: *For the slices of celery- should they have been

about the size of the carrot pieces? I did small pieces like I would

for soup- but afterwards wondered if it should have been bigger.

~ Small or big is your choice...just so long as they get in there okay.

Like today I am making a crock-pot stew and I cut mine in little

half-moon shaped slices, but some of the stalks were big so I cut

those in half so they would cook up nice down in the juices.

[i'll post this recipe soon if I like it~ I just created it~ smells yum]

Anyway, I hope my answers were helpful even though they are way

too late. You probably already know this, but crock-pottin' is a very

forgiving cooking method. Whatever gets it done usually works

just fine; I've had very few crock-flops. :)

all the conjectures and descriptions in the world.
