Guest guest
Amy I really like your ice cube tray and chop stick tricks. Ooh those hand chopper things. I actually have one (I didn't buy it) and have never tried it. I've seen those stupid infomercials on the manual hand choppers (you punch the thing down) and the mini blender (size of a small small bowl). I just don't see a point in chopping stuff down to size to fit it in the blender and to fit it in the housing area of the hand chopper. What is the point, LOL! By the time you've done that then used the hand chopper and washed it up, you could have manually chopped and eaten it by then. http://www.bestofkitchen.com/productimages/69443.jpg This is a picture of a Braun hand blender that I have (or as close to it as I could find - just a smidge different in body) - drink not included. Mine has a crack in the plastic that guards the blades but I've never had a problem with it going out. I use 'em all the time. Just yesterday I chopped two bags of onions (I peeled and quartered, and used the Cuisinart!) - so next time I need onions, I won't need to cry... > Ooh those hand chopper things. But now I will look for a Braun (I had Oster and Hamilton Beach), or maybe a Kitchen Aid that I've also heard is good. Have to see how they go price-wise.
