Guest guest Posted October 29, 2005 Report Share Posted October 29, 2005 These are really yummy; again, a dish i could eat the whole bowl of. *lol* Whenever i cook b.sprouts my kids complain about the smell, but i plan to use Amy's tip of the vinegar next time. Brussels Sprouts Supreme 1 pound brussels sprouts, trimmed 1 cup chopped celery 2 Tbs. butter or margarine 2 Tbs. all-purpose flour 1 cup milk 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 tsp salt Pinch [or two] cayenne pepper Place brussels sprouts, celery and small amount of water in a saucepan. Cover and cook for 8 minute or until crisp- tender. Meanwhile, in another saucepan, melt butter. Add flour and cook until smooth. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until thickened. Stir in shredded cheese, garlic powder, salt and cayenne. Drain brussels sprouts and place in a serving bowl. Pour sauce over top before serving.
