Warm welcome to the group, Arlene.

Thanks for posting an intro and that tip

about cooking squash in a crockpot.

Now i would have assumed you'd need to

add some water... it is cool to know you don't.

i just love cooked butternut and acorn squash

this time of year!

 

i must note that some of the newer crockpots

on the market cook horribly HOT and fast.

i was lucky to have an older model given to me

by my grandmother; gawd, it must be something

like 20 years old or older! *lol*

Recently i bought a new one so i would have two,

and the new one is just wild and cooks so differently.

i don't think i would dare leave unprotected squash

in there for 8 hours unless i was angry with it. *lol*
