Guest guest
hey! its been awhile but I am here again! My return from Germany was good although food was tough at first. Surprisingly (to me) I found a lot of veggie foods easy but finding what I liked and didn't like anymore took awhile. I've also moved down to VA now and here there's no organic store in sight so I shop at a local grocery store chain where instead of having a natural food section, the organics are mixed in across the whole store so it takes me *forever* to shop. Oh well. My mom is fairly nice about my meals and even tries a bite every now and then but my dad is a jerk every night commenting on how " great and delicious and juicy " his cow-based meals are while I try to bite my tongue. I'm also on dialup here so I won't be able to post regularly for awhile But I did want to share a great experience I had last week. I was visiting my sister in LA and they have Marie Collander (sp) restaurants there and are apparently a fairly large chain so I figure some of you might have one. But I ordered the soup and salad bar and they had clam chowder and baked potato. I asked a waitress if they were vegetarian and she said no, the baked potato was made from a chicken broth but went on to tell me that she had a vegetable soup in the back that was vegetarian that she could bring out to me. I thought that was fantastic! Anyway other than that I came to say sorry I wont be posting or reading as much anymore but I will be keeping up on the recipe files and look forward to those. But keep this place going because I will be back full-time at the end of summer I hope. If you want to reach me you can email me (budgiegirl2003) Keep on veggin! -Katie
Guest guest
Wow! Long time no see... welcome back. Missed ya. i sent you an offlist note just incase you aren't able to read here much with the dail-up. But it sure is good to hear from you again and to read that things are going good for you. *big smile* We have Marie Calendars here, too. They sure make good pies. That was really nice of the waitress to get you a special vegetarian soup. i have never dined there before, i have only bought pies! *lol* Guess i should check them out one day soon. My dh will often buy the frozen entrees by Marie Calendars and i always say, " you had lunch with that slut Marie again, didn't you! " hahaha Welcome back, Katie! ~ pt ~ Simplicity of character is no hindrance to subtlety of intellect. ~ John Morley ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~> , " budgiegirl2003 " < budgiegirl2003> wrote: > > hey! its been awhile but I am here again!
