Guest guest
Hi, I am brand new to the group. Just thought I would pass along something I recently discovered about cooking winter squash. You can cook winter squash in a slow cooker very easily. If the whole squash fits in your cooker, all you have to do is scrub the outside, place in cooker, cover and turn on low for about 8 hours. Remove from cooker, cut in half and scoop out seeds, etc. Viola! Comes out very soft. If it won't fit in one piece, cut into large chunks, scoop out seeds and place skin side down in cooker. Proceed as before. No water needed. Arlene
