Guest guest
hi jenni, yes, masa harina + water = corn tortillas. i made flour tortillas years ago and it was alot of rolling and work and they didn't turn out like the authentic tortillas i could buy in texas at tortilla factories or restaurants. more practice needed. now that i'm in virginia, i can't find really fresh flour tortillas at all! there is nothing better than fresh tortillas! maybe sometime this week i can cook up a pot of pinto beans and i can roll out some fresh flour tortillas. btw, on thursday, my son and i (if it's not raining) are going to pick pumpkins at this pumpkin patch just east of us.....$3 a pumpkin...they have acorn squash and tomatoes too. if you are interested, i could give you the info. have y'all been to fredericksburg yet? let me know if you are interested in the area....i can get you some info. also, (we were rained out this weekend) but next weekend, we are planning on going to an apple festival in syria, va. pick your own apples, hayrides, apple cider, activities, bluegrass bands, etc...and it's less than 2 hrs. from dc. if you want info on that, i can send it too. we are coming up to alexandria tomorrow. i'm gonna try to talk the boys into going to whole foods. lol. talk to you soon, susie --- Jenni Billings <jenni wrote: > I will try it..
