Guest guest
I'm glad you posted this. In my post I forgot the all important sage. I still don't have my copy at hand - haven't been up to my storage unit all week - but I do intend to get it and I'll post what recipes I've used in it and have liked. The Kitchen Bouquet is one of those funny things that gets put in a different place in different stores. It's most often used for roasting parts of poor animals (though it itself is certified kosher without designation for meat or dairy, so that should eliminate concerns that the caramel is from dairy or about any other animal products in it) or making gravy, so the first place to look is near the gravy mixes or meat maranades. If not there, look near the soy sauces. Or try near the bbq sauces. It's probably one of the top ten most requested items by people looking for it in the store, so it's good odds that any store personnel would know where it is.... , " ~ PT ~ " <patchouli_troll> wrote: > Here is the recipe that was requested for the > unbeef broth out of the Simply Heavenly cookbook. > The book states it can be used for adding a " beef-like " > flavor to dishes, and also used to flavor gluten, tofu > and TVP. > Tom in Ashland, OR. has tried this recipe > and given it the thumbs up. i plan to try it soon as > i get some Kitchen Bouquet; anyone know what > section of the grocery store i might find this item? > > UnBeef Broth > > 2 Tbs. soy sauce > 1 tsp.
