They probably go into detail somewhere in the book about this product, which is another thing i like about this book. One just has to be careful though, since this book was published in 1994 and some items i know they mention by brandname are no longer vegan or vegetarian. For example, they greatly endorse the use of Lee & Perrin's Steak Sauce, but last time i was label reading this item had anchovies. In fact i could not find one Lee & Perrins steak sauce or Worchestershire sauce that didn't contain some sort of animal product; thankfully there are other brands on the market that are veggie safe for us. > I had no idea what it was and decided to check it out on the net > and came across these copy cat recipes (untried and untrue by me) for the > product. I'd as well like to know what part of the store it would be on. ~ Thanks for posting those. This gives me a better idea of what this product is like. i think i already have some, just under a different brand name. Mine is called Gravy Master and comes in a little brown bottle. i think i found this item in the spice isle... or maybe near the sauces and soup mixes. I cant remember right now. But from the recipe you posted this has got to be the stuff. ~ pt ~ Freedom is the will to be responsible to ourselves. ~ Friedrich Nietzsche
