Hello this fine Sunday morning. A new week has

begun and also a new question of the week is posed.

Our co-moderator Shawn came up with this week's

question:

What recipe or food item have you wanted to either

cook or eat but felt too intimidated to go through with

it (or couldn't find it)?

i already know my answer to this one! This is a good one,

Shawn. i can't wait to read all of your answers. :)

I've already mentioned my hesitation to work with gluten to make the

me@t analogs but I do have a couple of others.

I've always wanted to can either pickles or salsa or something of the

sort. Never did have canning jars or lids. I've also read some

horror stories about the jars exploding in the water baths and such.

I've never tried making cheese. Always wanted to do that. I just

never took the time to go through the processes, patience and minutes.

I'm sure there are more but I can't think of them specifically right

now. Anyone have experience with any of those (above)?

Shawn :)

i've always wanted to make naan bread, but never tried

it because i don't have a tandori oven and figure it

wouldn't turn out well otherwise.

I've made naan once in a regular oven on a cookie sheet. While it

didn't look at all like naan that you'd get at a restaurant (kinda

stretched into a roundish triangular fashion do to throwing it against

the side of the oven) or have the same texture, it did taste pretty

darn good. :)
