We love doing the bread, cheese & fruit lunches!!

Another great in a pinch...sort of fast food, but at nearly

everywhere is subway...I forgot about it! Subway does a neat thing

out here...for all you teachers...during the summer our library runs

a program with Subway where the kids get stamps on a bookmark each

time they visit the library, after a certain number of stamps they

can take the bookmark to subway for a free kids meal. Don't you

love it??

Oh...and another fast food place we frequent & I don't know if it is

national, is Taco Del Mar. It is mexican, but not at all like taco

bell...they don't fry anything, so you don't have those worries. It

is all fresh stuff & set up kind of like subway...they make it in

front of you as you select stuff. None of their beans have lard.

I guess W5, this is why we don't have trouble...we have easy fast

food options here so that McD's and company is not missed at all.

Jo - McDonalds was soaking their fries in beef broth for some

time...I know they stopped cuz of people complaining...however, we

don't eat their fries on principle now.

Also...I don't know if this is a fact, but one of my friend's

hubbies is in the fishing industry. He works on those big boats

that catch lots of little fish in nets. Apparantly, those fish get

used as base in many, many products you'd never suspect...she told

me they are in soft ice cream (like McD's) and some toothpaste...I

haven't looked into it, since we don't get anything at mcd's & we

use Tom's toothpastes. Wild, huh?
