families, kids & fast food - hi melissa

i'm the same way with my son. but i'm lucky, he never

asks to go to mcdonalds or really for any of the

colored, " fun " stuff...and that's a good thing. last

year at his preschool, they brought in happy meals for

all the kids and he refused it, didn't even want the

french fries or toy. he told his teacher if he ate

anything from mcdonald's it would make him throw up.

lmao! i guess he was really paying attention when we

watched " super-size me " .

 

it's suprising to me how many mothers take their kids

to mcdonalds and other equally horrible fast food

places every week. at playgroups and when talking to

other moms i get the impression that they think i'm

awful for not taking my son to these places. funny, i

feel differently....i think taking him to those places

would be child abuse! :)

don't listen to her. you are giving them a good,

healthy foundation to base their food decisions on.

they may stray once in awhile, but they will always

return to the good stuff.
