Guest guest
hi melissa, the granola bars turn out crispy. i'm not sure about the raw nuts. i used raw sunflower seeds, but toasted them in the oven with the oats and wheat germ. i don't recall ever hearing something bad about raw nuts. as for honey...i think raw honey is actually better for you. heating the honey (pasteurizing it) kills the enzymes and nutrients. safety-wise, the only thing i know is not to give babies under 1 year old honey because it could contain the bacteria that causes botulism. at a health food store i worked at years ago, we sold raw honey comb....it was wonderful. susie --- melissa_hopp <hoppmel wrote: > Susie, these sound good - I've a picky one too and > he likes granola > type things, but not almonds, but I can make them to > > his " specifications " this way.
