Guest guest
A while back i got a good deal on jalpeno peppers and i found this recipe to use them in. It is a great way to enjoy them, perfect for football watching snacks. The baking directions stated that the longer you bake them the milder the jalaps would be. 20 minutes for spicy, 30 minutes for medium, and 40 minutes for mild. i baked mine for 30 and as baby bear would say [ or was that Goldilocks?], they were just right! *lol* Pepper Poppers 1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese 6 tsp bacos (soy smokey flavored bits) 1/4 tsp chili powder 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1 lb. fresh jalapenos, halved lengthwise and seeded 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs In a mixing bowl, combine cheeses, bacos and seasonings; mix well. Spoon about 2 tablespoonfuls into each pepper half. Roll in bread crumbs. Place in a greased 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan. Bake, uncovered, at 300û for 20- 30 minutes. Serve with sour cream, dip, or dressing of your choice.
