I thought this was interesting considering much of vegetarian protein

sources come from beans and nuts. Or at least it plays a big part in my

consumption - I know that some people are allergic to peanuts though.

British researchers have found that a compound in certain foods may prevent

cancer.Researchers at University College London recently discovered a

natural compound that they said inhibits the activity of an enzyme involved

in tumor growth, in addition to enhancing cancer-fighting

medications.Theysaid the compound, called inositol pentakisphosphate,

is found in beans,

nuts and cereals. Researchers hope they can develop the compound into use as

new cancer treatments.The findings are published in the latest issue of

Cancer Research.
