Thanks Donna...I'm looking forward to this one...I hope I can manage

it with out burning anything/one!! I saw Sara Moulton make an upside

down pineapple cake in her cast iron skillet the other day, but was

also doing stuff with kids & missed her getting it out...this looked

like a good one, too. Hadn't thought of baking in it.

 

Made banana bread last night...made three little loaves instead of a

big one, one has choc chips, one has blueberries, and one has

strawberries...ah the freedom!!

How funny you mentioned a pineapple upside down cake and I posted my Gran's.

You will get more and more comfortable with your cast iron as you use it. It

will be seasoned just right pretty soon. Just keep cooking in them. I love to

bake in them also. The heat is very even, the bottom which is actually the top

when you turn it over always has a nice crunch to it. Have
