Guest guest
Jenn, oh, I am so sorry that the deer were so devastating! We don't have deer that come on our property although they are around. We did put up a small fence to keep the bunnies out (and our own pets)and that really worked. I can't think of what people do right now but there are lots of ideas. I do remember one person saying that they planted a small garden just for the deer. Another one mentioned hanging something from trees, but I can't remember what. I am a member of organic homestead gardening , although I haven't been there in ages. It really was too much for me to keep up. But that might be a good place to check out and ask your question. I don't know if owning a dog makes a difference, either. Just the scent might keep them at bay. If I think or find of other ideas I'll email you directly. cheers, Denise , Jennifer <jj_73molly> wrote: > Thanks, Denise for the great idea. Your garden makes me envious. The deer (we live in the city, but we are next to a plot of land that can't be hunted) hit us very hard. I was pretty mad since I did most of the work this summer myself. And with two little ones and extra part of the day, doing garden work was hard. Better luck next time. By the way, does any of our gardeners have a deer safe repellient? I obviously don't want something bad for the environment, but would like to keep the pesky deer in the back where there is plenty to graze. Just not my garden. > > Jenn
