Guest guest
Hi All, I ask Donna before about what type of wok to buy. However, I failed to ask where I could actually BUY an electric wok! Does anyone have an idea where I can get one? J Lyn TTP....Time Talent Opportunity... plunge in right NOW! Why live in " I wish I could " ? Guest guest
I love buying things from Chef's Catalogue. Sometimes their items seem expensive, but I bought enough things to know that they carry really good quality. You can spend $20 on something, but is it going to last? Not sure what type of price range you are looking at, but here is a link to Chef's electric wok (they also sell non-electric woks): http://www.chefscatalog.com/(1afk3w55csjeolqpjqixtt55)/catalog/product.aspx?cate\ gory=Kitchen+Electrics & subcategory=Electric+Skillets+%26+Cookware & item=12816 Now, if you're not set on just an electric. I bought our wok from Pacific Rim Gourmet, it came with lots of accessories. They were fast on shipping, great prices and I had a great experience with their customer service. I also bought a wonderful cookbook along with the wok (Vegetarian Sushi). Here is their website: http://www.i-clipse.com/woks.asp Best wishes on finding that perfect wok. I love ours! While I really miss using my well-aged and seasoned spun steel wok (which won't work well on my lame electric cooktop), I have a West Bend electric wok which, at the ripe old age of 25, still puts out some *smokin'* heat. The best price I've found is at Target ($60) http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/601-6198657-0176109?asin=B00005KIR1 & AFID=Fr\ oogle & ref=tgt_adv_XSG10001 They're also available for $65 at Cooking.com: http://www.cooking.com/products/shprodde.asp?SKU=216397 & ref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Eg\ oogle%2Ecom%2Fsearch%3Fas%5Fq%3D%26num%3D10%26hl%3Den%26c2coff%3D1%26btng%3Dgoog\ le%2Bsearch%26as%5Fepq%3Dwest%2Bbend%2B%2522electric%2Bwok%2522%26as%5Foq%3D%26a\ s%5Feq%3D%26lr%3D%26as%5Fft%3Di%26as%5Ffiletype%3D%26as%5Fqdr%3Dall%26as%5Focct%\ 3Dany%26as%5Fdt%3Di%26as%5Fsitesearch%3D%26safe%3Dimages and Shop.com http://www.shop.com/op/aprod-p14108959?sourceid=
