Guest guest
This is the marinade I use on my tofu. It's also good spooned over white steamed rice. From my Hawaiin cookbook. " Korean Marinade for Tofu " 3/4 cup soy sauce (I use the lite version) 3 Tblspns. sesame oil (another type oil works too but the sesame oil gives it a wonderful flavor) 4 Tblspns. toasted sesame seeds (pulverized with in a pestle or smashed with blunt end of knife) 2 Tblspns. sugar 1 sm. onion chopped fine 1 green onion chopped fine 1 garlic clove minced dash of red pepper flakes dash of black pepper 1 slice of fresh ginger grated or minced Mix all ingredients together and pour over firm or extra firm tofu steaks or cubes and marinate for 1-2 hrs.
