I'm not sure where you are located at - but, have you thought about growing some

spinach in a pot on your back deck? I'm not sure if you have one or can do

something like that. It wouldn't take much space and would provide you with

something fresh and inexpensive. I live in Michigan and shortly should be able

to plant some spinach seeds for a fall harvest. We can plant spinach in the

fall and spring. In the hot summer, it bolts. A package of seeds can go from

anywhere to half off to $2 here. Something to consider if it isn't too late.

 

I'm not a big coupon person, either. It is usually stuff that I don't use nor

would want to use.
