Guest guest
You and those burgers.LOL I love olive oil too but I also use walnut or avocado oil. They are light and make things crispy and that taste is delicate. Add a bit more breadcrumbs into the bean mixture and that should do it. I actually only cook with olive oil which is suppose to be better for you but doesn't have a high smoke point (which is why I'm going to get something else). I've perused the net ( http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/07/26/earlyshow/health/main631719.shtml) a bit but wanted to get some tips from people who are actually using the oils. And especially from a flavor point of view. I'm thinking about peanut oil or flaxseed oil but am still undecided. I'm already going to make another batch of Donnas black bean burgers and i'm hoping a higher heat will crispin these bad boys up. Thanks in advance. Guest guest
Thanks Donna. I've added those two along with coconut and the peanut and flaxseed ones. I'll compare prices and see if any or all of them are at my store. Ooh, what if coated the outer portions of the burgers and then fried. I might try that too. Ok, off I go. Thanks.
