hi helene,

welcome to the group. i hope you enjoy it here.

i love fried green tomatoes too. i've had good luck

finding green tomatoes this year. one of the vendors

at the local farmer's market sells green tomatoes.

one of the local stores has also been selling green

ones for $1 a pound. i prepare mine the same way you

do.

Thanks for the warm welcome--$1 a pound--a bargain considering how

versatile they can be--(my dad loves them pickled, and my mom likes to

fry them up 'straight', no breading, just a bit of seasoning.
