Guest guest Posted August 17, 2005 Report Share Posted August 17, 2005 I'm sure this would be good with tofu, I've just always done it with the veat stuff, I use the tid bits for this..but you could do nuggets, too. Start the rice before you start making the chicken dinner. green onions, to taste, chopped 2 tsp fresh chopped ginger 2 cups wheat meat/veat bites saute in olive oil - we like them a little brown & crispy 1 garlic clove (or more to taste) finely chopped I add this and cook it a bit, dont burn it! 1/2 cup raisins (we prefer golden) 1 20oz can pineapple tidbits drained-reserve a good quarter cup liquid 2 Tbs shoyu/tamari & 2 Tbs pineapple juice Cook over low heat about 5 more minutes...add more juice if you want more sauce. Serve with rice. In all honesty - when I don't have veat on hand, I do pretty much this same dish, just fried pineapple & rice - the kids just love it & it is such a quick dinner!! m Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
