It makes me happy that you still like English. It is the best subject. Besides

the most usueful! I mean can you do anythign well without reading

comprehension? Not really.

 

I am glad we go back before the Septemeber holiday. Mainly becasue we get out

so early that way! I would have pulled out my hair had I had to work through

til june 24th! Good grief.. that is horrible! Ourbuilding does not have air

conditioning nor does it have good circulation! UGG It would be like wokring

in a sweat box LITERALLY! As it is August is a bear! LOL

 

I should be off of this computer reading the novel I assigned for summer

reading. I am only half way through it ( I read it several years ago). I

assigned 3 modern books and Huckleberry Finn for the classic. The kids have to

choose 2 of the 4 options. Sula, Angels & Demons, Wicked the Life and time of

the wicked witch of the West, and Huck Finn. I am hoping this class will have

had good discussion experiences before now. We shall see

Just an aside - I had an english teacher in high school that I learned

so much from and really adored - I still love english and language to

this day!!

 

Our schools were out June 24th this year! The kids go back after

Labor day. Funny how different places do it!
