I had my housewarmign party today, and one of my friends asked me about beign

vegetarian. She was curious because she has been thinking about the switch for

a few years as well. We had a chat. She asked me why I switched and I told her

abotu reading You Don't Need MEat and also the The COwboy Who Doesn't Eat MEat.

Both books made me sick to my stomach with all teh junk and crap they were

talking about. The second book tells about the animal parts and ANIMALS they

send to the rendering plants. FOr heavens sake... I did not know that many of

the animal shelters and places that euthanize pets and strays send those dead

animal bodies to rending plants ... which then this ground mix of animal parts

is then used for animal feed and so forth. I thought I was going to throw up!

I hear ya. I'm not a vegan but I haven't purchased cow's milk in quite some

time after reading a few bits.

Speaking of (soy milk that is), I just got a new thing of Silk Soy milk. I

haven't seen this variety within the Silk family before. It is " Enhanced "

with Omega-3 and antioxidents. Organic soybeans. Pretty cool.
