Guest guest
Darryl Cherney is the musician who was in the car with Judi Bari when it was bombed, and who continued the successful lawsuit against the FBI over issues of how the FBI handled the situation in ways that violated Cherney's and Bari's civil rights - continued the lawsuit after Bari died from complications related to her injuries from the bombing. Cherney's Grant Pass song is a humorous song about his conflict with loggers: http://www.darrylcherney.com/audio/3GrantsPass.mp3. I have a t-shirt that in 1988 I had made to say " America, Don't Bush It " and Cherney took this idea and wrote his " Bush It " song: http://www.darrylcherney.com/audio/4BushIt.mp3. A few years ago, before the final victory over the FBI in the lawsuit, he did a concert at SOU, and the next morning we were hosting some Pastors for Peace caravanistas at Peace House for breakfast. I had the pleasure of listening to one of the Pastors for Peace organizers talking about possible collaborations with Earth First! with Darryl Cherney over my vegan whole-grain buckwheat pancakes with maple syrup. I have that recipe typed up somewhere; I'll share it when I find it..... , " ~ PT ~ " <patchouli_troll> wrote: > , " Tom " < > antipreophogistiii> wrote: > > Despite Darryl Cherney's song about Grants Pass, I do know some > > great people up there, but not that many vegetarians from there, so > > I wonder how that must feel for you. > > ~ i have never heard of that song or musical artist before... > but i can just imagine. *lol*
