Guest guest Posted July 31, 2005 Report Share Posted July 31, 2005 This is an easy to make side dish. I sometimes toss some TVP in it and then is's a main dish dinner for me. " Hungarian Cabbage Noodles " 2 tblsps. olive oil or canola oil 1 head of cabbage chopped 1 large onion cut in half and thinly sliced 12 oz. wide egg or eggless wide noodles 1 tblsp. poppy seeds salt & pepper to taste Heat oil in skillet and saute onion over medium heat until very light golden brown. Add cavvage and a little water and stir fry until cabbage iis limp and starting to brown. Takes about 10 mins. Cook noodles according to package directions. When done rinse, drain and place in large serving bowl. Add cabbage mixture, poppy seeds, toss and season to taste. " No matter how difficult the past; you can always begin again today.
