Guest guest Posted July 30, 2005 Report Share Posted July 30, 2005 I am actually going to Austin to eat and go to whole foods tonight...and to go dancing but that's another story ;-) My best friend just got married and I was out of town when they had to do the ceremony. The last time I was in Austin, Armadillo World Headquarters was the place to go dancing ...and drinking! Zilker Park had just a little train ride, and the natural spring pond for a refreshing swim. The Drag (Guadalupe) was lined with craft artisans and musicians. The university Hillel was connected to a macrobiotic restaurant. Hippie Hollow was the place to go to skinny dip. A usually gay bar called The Pearl Street Warehouse had a cheap movie night, so families would go, sit on the floor, and watch vintage movies. First time I saw Imitation of Life, it was there.
