It's bad enough when you're not even sure if a particular store carries the

product. On top of that you know there are like 10 different places it could

be. I've looked everywhere at different stores for tahini. Health aisle,

International aisle, peanut butter and jelly aisle, pickle and olive aisle,

baking aisle...

Why not have an " oddity " or " things we sell very little of " aisle!

I think I've read that the dairy industry pays stores not to place soy milks

(no cholesterol) along side regular milk. I notice much of the time that the

fakey patties/dogs, tofu and soy milks (along side some fancy dressings and

other richy rich products) are located in the produce aisle.

I've been making hummus this summer with out the tahini, my doc is

I hope your dd is doing well and I hope they figure out exactly what's

causing the reaction.

Nuts are a staple in my diet. Thank goodness I'm not allergic. I'm curious

on how the hummus turns out without the tahini. Have you been subbing

something for it (the avocado in this recipe?) and how does the texture turn

out?

I think eating out occasionally is fun, but it's just more peaceful at home

or at a friends house. Far cheaper too.
