Guest guest
yumz, did one tonight and it passed the 8 year old test, She kept asking for more, just don't give me any of the squash. tee hee Boiled up pasta called orzo, the size of pumpkin seeds almost, when cooked, but you can use any small pasta in veggie stock. I used a couple cups of stock so that when teh pasta was done cooking it was a thick pasta veggie stock mix, i guess a half cup of the uncooked small pasta to a couple of cups of stock with some added garlic powder. for two servings. In a pan I used half corn oil and half sesame oil, the sesame oil is what really made the dish. I do use a lot of oil. I guess it was about 4 tbs of sesame oil and almost the same of the corn oil. cut the carrots in thin strips, and cooked a few minutes, then added the fresh small broccoli florett pieces, cooked a bit, then added the yellow squash cut in thick circles. I just learned that it's better to make them a bit thicker than I had been doing. fried it up till it was done, then took the pasta in the veggie stock and dumped it in, did not drain, and added about 2 tsp. of soy sauce and a little sugar, about a tsp I guess, and a bit more garlic powder, and black pepper. I added some salt to my own on my plate. 8 year old daughter kept asking for more! weeee success. It was delicicious, and the sesame oil is the key.
