Guest guest
hi sarah, dallas is a wonderful and fun city. there are plenty of great veggie friendly restaurants in dallas. check out this site: http://www.happycow.net/north_america/usa/texas/dallas for some suggestions and links to maps and stuff. cosmic cafe is great and so is kalachadjis (it's in a hare krishna temple). the oak lawn, west end, deep ellum, and greenville areas of dallas have concentrations of restaurants and bars....you just park and walk around and will certainly find restaurants to make everyone happy. my very favorite restaurant is called sol's taco lounge and it's in deep ellum on commerce street. i hope it's still there. it's the most amazing tex-mex place....wonderful food and hard rock/metal on the jukebox. it's a fun place to go at 3 or 4 in the morning after hitting the clubs in deep ellum....you see all kinds of people there. they have many veggie choices (my fave is the veggie chimichangas). mi cocina is good too...more upscale. if you are into italian, terilli's on greeville is good and they have live jazz. if you are in the mood for a drive....check out the spiral diner and bakery (all vegan) place in fort worth. it's worth the drive. http://www.spiraldiner.com/ have a fun and safe trip. let us know where y'all ended up eating. susie, who lived in the dfw area for 8 years and misses it dearly --- Sarah White <breadbakingwoman wrote: > I'm going to be in Dallas in a few weeks and I'm > wondering what y'all can tell me about veggie/veggie > friendly/my meat-eater friends will still like > restaurants.
