Guest guest
I think as long as you oiled the crock well and had it on low, you could do it. I've seen mac'n'cheese made in a crock before... I love my crock too, Amy , " ~ PT ~ " <patchouli_troll> wrote: > What a great recipe. i am going to have to try this > one soon. i bet it would be good with a jalapeno in > it. i am going to just stick a jalap in everything > until i use these up! *lol* > The only part of the recipe that i don't like is baking > the casserole at 400û! Guest guest
Yep, it's hot here, too. Been in the 90's for about 2 weeks and this morning we got rain, so now it's 90 degrees with 60% humidity! Doing it in the crockpot is an option, although you wouldn't get the same cheesy top from the shredded cheese. I didn't notice a huge difference in the temp of my kitchen and I had already turned the AC off for the day. I didn't preheat the oven and I only cooked it for 30 min. But I totally understand about not wanting to use the oven. Most evenings we've been using the toaster oven and skillets. But I'll cook with anything if I'm actually in the mood to eat and craving something. Hmmm, I'm hungry now and I don't have a lot to eat at the office. Maybe I'll make some popcorn. Guess it's time to shop and stock up at the office. cheers, Denise , " ~ PT ~ " <patchouli_troll> wrote: > What a great recipe. i am going to have to try this > one soon. i bet it would be good with a jalapeno in > it. i am going to just stick a jalap in everything > until i use these up! *lol* > The only part of the recipe that i don't like is baking > the casserole at 400û!
