I think as long as you oiled the crock well and had it on low, you

could do it. I've seen mac'n'cheese made in a crock before...

Yep, it's hot here, too. Been in the 90's for about 2 weeks and this

morning we got rain, so now it's 90 degrees with 60% humidity!

Doing it in the crockpot is an option, although you wouldn't get the

same cheesy top from the shredded cheese. I didn't notice a huge

difference in the temp of my kitchen and I had already turned the AC

off for the day. I didn't preheat the oven and I only cooked it for 30

min. But I totally understand about not wanting to use the oven.

Most evenings we've been using the toaster oven and skillets. But I'll

cook with anything if I'm actually in the mood to eat and craving

something.

 

Hmmm, I'm hungry now and I don't have a lot to eat at the office.

Maybe I'll make some popcorn. Guess it's time to shop and stock up at

the office.
