Guest guest
hi everyone.i know ive been real slack since joining the group.sitting back and reading stuff while contributing nothing.so to make up for it here is a great recipe our household came up with when living in nimbin, hippy capital of australia you will need the biggest pot you have for this one folks. ingredients: 6 cloves of garlic finely diced 6 large onions finely diced 6 large beetroots as much green leefy veg as you can lay your hands on potatos swedes turnips parsnips 12 capsicums as many different types of chilli you can get cooking: fry off the garlic and onion till soft chop potatos, swedes, turnips, and parsnips into small pieces and add them to the pot. grate beetroot and set aside chop chilli and capsicum into small pieces and also add to pot 3 quarters fill pot with fresh vegetable stock/water and slowly bring to boil then reduce to a simmer.this is wehere you can also add extra ingredients such as cauliflower, brussel sprouts, and just about anything else you can think of.after serving place an amount of grated beet onto the top of your soup and serve with crusty french bread the whole point of chilli slop was to have an endless soup to last our cold australian winter well i hope you will let me know what you think dave in brisbane
