Guest guest
Hi BudgieGirl, I make this often as a simple lunch or a dinner side dish. " Lentil Rice Pilaf " 1 vegetbale bouillon cube 3/4 cup brown rice 3 to 4 scallions (gr. onions) thinly sliced 1/4 cup minced parsley or dill Bring 4 cups of water to a boil then simmer in a large saucepan with the bouillon cube. Stir in the rice and lentils, cover and simmer gently until water is absorbed 35 minutes. Stir in the remaining ingredients, salt & pepper to taste, and serve. Guest guest
I think I've made something similar before-always good and reliable! Thanks! Boullion/broth can add so much flavor, I love it! , GeminiDragon <thelilacflower> wrote: > Hi BudgieGirl, I make this often as a simple lunch or a dinner side dish. > > " Lentil Rice Pilaf " > > 1 vegetbale bouillon cube > 3/4 cup brown rice > 3 to 4 scallions (gr. onions) thinly sliced > 1/4 cup minced parsley or dill > > Bring 4 cups of water to a boil then simmer in a large saucepan with the bouillon cube. > Stir in the rice and lentils, cover and simmer gently until water is absorbed 35 minutes. > Stir in the remaining ingredients, salt & pepper to taste, and serve. > > > > > > " There is no way to peace; > Peace is the way.
