Guest guest
To answer your question first to roast a banana, peel it and then slice it into long lengthwise slices (but not too thin or itll fall apart) and then just throw it in the pann for a few minutes until the middle (seeded) part turns a little brown. Here's the whole recipe if you're interested: 4 servings 150ml orange juice salt/pepper 2 TL (tsp) broth or boullion 1/2 TL (tsp) cinnamon spice 1/2 TL (tsp) ground ginger 200g instant couscous 20g butter 100g raisins (1) combine orange juice with 100ml water, salt, pepper, broth, cinnamon and ginger. Cook on stove. Pour over the instant couscous, let sit for 5 min. (2) melt the butter in a pan, pour over the couscous. Stir the couscous with a fork. Stir in the raisins. Top with roasted banana slices. Im not a big juice fan (ok to drink but find it odd in dishes) so I generally use a little less than what's posted and the butter in the recipe I find fairly optional too-doesnt seem to add too much to make it easier to stir or anything. This recipe is good all year round! , " melissa_hopp " <hoppmel@c...> wrote: > Your oj couscous with roasted banana sounds great and fun for my > kiddos home from school...how do you roast banana? Guest guest
The couscous is what I imagined...thanks for the recipe, I know the kids will like that, they can even make it! I've sauted banana slices in brown sugar and butter for an icecream topping, never thought to fry one like you suggest - the kids will love it. All my kids & dh just love pineapple sauteed, with a little soy sauce. I do it for desert after a chinese stir fry, or just to top rice for a light meal... m
