Guest guest
I think I mentioned this before, but in combo with going veggie, I also started eating the suggested 6 times a day. 3 meals & 3 snacks- I did not think it would work but it does. However, it takes planning and thinking ahead. About every 2 to 2.5 hours you eat. Meals are around 300-400 calories and snacks between 100-250 (no hard and fast rule). You eat enough to not be hungry. If you eat too much when the next two hours rolls around you won't be hungry (which means your body did not burn up what you ate earlier). So it's rather self regulating, easy, and the both together... veggie and actaully eating... helped drop pounds (relatively quickly). It is the only " diet " that I have ever been able to stick with. You don't have to give up foods (well the meat thing obviously); you just eat smaller amounts and at different times. For example it you want pasta or pizza don't eat it the last meal of the day becasue you won't have time to burn it all off. Guest guest
yep, 5 or 6 'meals' a day is optimal and a key part of this is to have a wholesome breakfast too! Make sure to get in some form of protein in the morning (oatmeal, veggie sausage or milk and eggs if you eat/drink those) that way you aren't hungry 2 hours later and can enjoy your next 'snack' for what it is and not just something to hold you until lunch! One thing we do in Germany is eat our largest meal in the middle of the day (what you would probably have for supper). And then for dinner we have a smaller, less heavy meal-normally potatoes, egg and salad. And of course after the evening meal we go for a walk. And having the lighter meal makes it easier to want to go out for that walk instead of sitting on the couch! With the nice weather now and brighter later, the post-food walk is also more enjoyable. , J Lyn <poet_atrabilious> wrote: > I think I mentioned this before, but in combo with going veggie, I also started eating the suggested 6 times a day. 3 meals & 3 snacks- I did not think it would work but it does.
