I'm almost 26 so was more of a child of the 80s than a

child of the 70s :)

My mom very rarely bought processed foods and always

kept us away from sugar as much as possible. I grew up

in a farmy area in NJ so we had access to lots of

fresh local produce (KICK ASS Jersey corn!). My mom's

side of the family is Italian and everyone on her side

is a cook. My dad's side of the family, which is

German, isn't as much into the cooking. My dad rarely

cooks. We did eat meat growing up...not too

excessively though.

Now I'm on my own and very rarely buy processed

foods...I love cooking. My brother, who is a senior in

college and got an on-campus apartment for the summer

and next year with a kitchen, is now learning to cook

for himself. I know he isn't into artificial stuff

either.

So all my mom's cooking rubbed off on both my brother

and I. :)

.... We are such stuff

As dreams are made on, and our little life

Is rounded with a sleep.
