Guest guest
I always thought I was intolerant but nope it's allergy and I shouldn't have any dairy. One scoop of ice cream and I have severe cramps and on the pot in 15 mins. I do get away with hard aged cheese in small doses though and not everyday, just a grated little here and there. The Lactaid pills would work in reverse, inside the dairy couldn't leave my system if I took those pills so I would feel nauseous for hours. Aged cheeses don't have lactose in them. Yogurt does have lactose, and ice cream has a lot, as well as non-aged cheeses like cottage cheese and ricotta. " Lactose intollerant " and " cow milk allergy " are two different things, I think.... Lactose is a sugar, and aged cheese has no sugar. I think the little bacterias who turn it into cheese eat the sugar. This is my theory.
